Hello, lovelies! ⭐️ I had to do these tags this month because it is The New Year Book Tags! I found two different tags with the same name so I decided to make them both since they are completely different but still, same name and purpose ¯_(ツ)_/¯
This bookish tag I found at Nine Tale Vixen
For this tag the books I picked I haven’t read 99% of them which was my main purpose (ᵔᴥᵔ)
Auld Lang Syne: A Childhood Favorite You Want to Reread
For this, I had to pick the books that re-introduced me to books in a new country: Goosebumps by R.L. Stine! When I moved to this country, I didn’t know the language so I wasn’t reading at all – not even books in the language I was familiar with. But, I discovered Goosebumps! These books are very easy to read, understand, and love. It made me so damn happy to walk into the library and pick a new book every time I finished one!
In With the New: The Most Recent Addition to Your TBR
Yesterday I bought How To Bang a Billionaire by Alexis Hall. It’s been forever since I bought a book, I have Audible and Kindle Unlimited so I never buy books but this one, I read the sample and I was hooked like a fish.
Countdown: An Upcoming Release You’re Excited About
I recently finished reading books one and two of the Morelli series by Leighton Green and book three is coming in two days: Enticed by the Enemy is an enemy to lovers and I’m so ready for it!
Champagne: A Bubbly, Light Read
Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery! I started listening to the audiobook and okay, it may not be completely light because some of the themes are a bit serious but Anne makes everything dreamy and happy.
Sparklers: A Literary Couple With Bright, Hot Chemistry
This is the only book (alone with Goosebumps) in this tag that I’ve read completely: one of my favorite couples in the whole literary world is Xander and Naomi from The Obsession by Nora Roberts, damn it gives me so much happiness, makes me feel giddy and there is a lot of sparkles (¬‿¬) believe me!
Noisemaker: An Attention-Catching Cover Design
I had to showcase this cover. I’ve been looking forward to reading this book for years now, I don’t know why I haven’t yet! There is something very captivating and magnetic about this book (づ￣ ³￣)づ
Sands by Kevin L. Nielsen
Hangover: A Trope You Can’t Seem to Avoid
Lately, I have been reading a lot of mobsters/regular guys, fake relationships, hate to love but, one I WILL ALWAYS read is arranged marriages! I’m looking forward to reading The Bride Test by Helen Hoang this year because I absolutely loved book one ♪~ ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ
First: A Book You Love But None of Your Friends Have Read (Yet)
For this one is again The Obsession by Nora Roberts, I absolutely love this book but no one I personally know has read it ><
Resolutions: Your Bookish Goals for the New Year’
I don’t usually do resolutions but maybe, besides reading all the books I’m looking forward to, I also want to read more non-fiction!
This bookish tag I found at Amyjanealice
How many books are you planning on reading in 2021?
For now: 50. I always keep it lower than what I intend to read to avoid the ‘you are X book behind’ in Goodreads ⚆ _ ⚆
Name five books you didn’t get to read in 2020 but want to make a priority in 2021?
- The Priority of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon
- A Princess for Christmas by Jenny Holiday
- The Flat Share by Beth O’Leary
- The Babysitter Club by Ann M. Martin
- Ten Things I Hate About the Duke by Loretta Chase
Name a genre you want to read more of in 2021?
Non-Fiction! Last year I read Becoming by Michelle Obama and A Very Punchable Face by Colin Jost and I really liked them.
Three non-book related goals for 2021
- Create a routine
- Plan my spendings wisely
- Learn how to roller skate
What’s a book you’ve had forever that you still need to read?
The Raven Cycle – the full series – has been sitting in my library for YEARS! Yes, that’s right: YEARS.
One word that you hope 2021 will be?
I had such a good time! I hope you all enjoyed reading and let me know if you will be doing this tag to check it out! 🙂
