Hello, lovelies! 👩🏻‍💻 I’m back with a bookish tag! I haven’t done for some weeks now ~ I was tagged by Books By Maeve – thank you~ I love doing tags! ^^ 🌸

First and last: a book/series you’ve read and enjoyed but can’t bring yourself to read again

I think most of the books I’ve read by Amy Harmon fall under this category. She writes beautiful books but some are very sad and full of angst. Two of my favorite books of hers are The Law of Moses and Making Faces – both with strong themes that break my heart just to think about them 😢 I LOVE THESE BOOKS, but since I first read them I haven’t been able to do so again [sometimes I may read some scenes but not the full book]. I continue reading books by Amy – her fantasies are stunning! But her contemporaries are very hard to re-read.

With a friend of mine: a book/series someone recommended to you that turned out to be different from what you expected

Deal Maker by Lily Morton was highly recommended in the Facebook groups I belong to. I think was the first book I read from Lily and wow! I thought it would be nice and just an overall fun read but boy! The book was wholesome, funny and Jude was sassy, strong and gorgeous! It took me awhile to warm up to Asa but the relationship was gold and I was loving every single thing about this book 🧐

Double date: a book who’s sequel you immediately had to read

Tank by K.M. Neuhold and Nora Phoenix was WOW! I did love book one but during that book I was rooting for some of the secondary characters. Peter and Micah are everything, this is truly an enemies to lovers and I WAS LOVING EVERY SINGLE SECOND [plus fake boyfriend!] The main career in this book is a bit hard to swallow because I’m the type of reader who enjoys the main characters with each other and each other only but the book is built in such a way where we see character development, relationship, the good and the bad and I loved it! I also have to mention Show Me by Neve Wilder – I jumped on this book so fast! – and it was worth it!💖

We’re both careful, it seems, not willing to put ourselves out there. Maybe because we both know things are about to change? There’s no coming back from this, from discovering the real us. The f***boy he always sees in me is not the same as pre-Med Micah who is determined to realize his dream of becoming a doctor.

Let’s go to the movies: A book series that should be adapted to the screen

Anything by Laini Taylor should be adapted into a movie. But, for this prompt I picked The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune. It would be so interesting to see the world within this book come alive. The characters are so unique, the storyline is so good, and everything in it screams ‘make me a movie’. I think the effects would be incredible! ✨

Dreamy stargazing: a book that made you go ‘ahhh’ and ‘ohhh’

I read The MacKade Brothers series by Nora Roberts awhile back and I’m still thinking about these stories. In book two we have the stories of Devin and Shane, the last two brothers finding love. Devin’s story is my absolutely favorite, it makes me go ‘ahhh’ because Devin has been in love with Cassie since they were teenagers and ‘ohhhh’ for many, many reasons. Their story is lovely, romantic and so angsty – but the good kind.

Fun at the fair: a book full of colours

The entire Heartstopper series by Alice Oseman is the one I thought of for this one! Besides the lovely art – which okay, I know is black and white – these books give me happiness and so many feelings – and for me that’s a book full of colors, one that is capable of giving me as a reader not only an amazing story but also different emotions.

Amusement park adventure: A book that was a rollercoaster

Montana Sky by Nora Roberts was a literal ROLLERCOASTER of emotions. Just the thriller in this book – the mystery was mind blowing and I was bitting my nails by the second! I did not expect the climax. Everything was so good!

Picnic with Cherries: a book whose food description made you feel all *heart eyes*

Oh, for this one I thought of Dance Upon the Air by Nora Roberts! The main character is Nell a food lover, baker, who works creating tasty food and whenever her food was described I was literally salivating😋

Trip to the museum: a book that taught you valuable stuff

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho is such a beautiful book, and whenever I read it, it reminds me to enjoy life a bit more and to find beauty in even small things. It also makes me want to believe in myself more.
